0900                Departure

0930                Arrival at Uskudar; meet guide
Short tour of old houses/mosques with info on the area

1030                Group assignment.  Split into two groups of four; each will visit a pre-determined and ready Uskudar resident and gather info (details to be provided.)  You will report out on this Sunday in presentations at the hotel meeting room.

1200                Lunch – free time BUT TURKISH ONLY

~1330             Program at Artist Studio

1700                Depart Uskudar

1730                Arrive Polonezkoy.  “Class” in hotel common area to summarize the day, new vocabulary, etc.

1800                Break for down/time dinner BUT TURKISH ONLY.  Dinner not included in hotel price, though a la carte dinner available.  But travelers not obliged to eat there.

2000                (Optional)  Regroup for games night!  Available games are Turkish scrabble (and at least one more, I think we’ll have).

0900                Meet in hotel common area TBD (after having breakfasted)
Presentations from Uskudar visits, and some additional language training.

TBD                Overview of Polonezkoy:  church/graveyard, “memory house,” etc.

1230                Lunch

1400                Trip to Glass Furnace, see onsite ceramic making and learn about the process in Turkish (The ones who wish can do a little workshop as well by paying 20 YTL per person), great gifts available there too!

                        If this falls through (still being arranged), alternative program TBD.

1500 – 1530    Gathering together to summarize the trip; overall evaluation
