Student Comments & Testimonials

I was very happy with the lesson, my teacher and the whole approach taken. I have no comments or suggestions at this stage.

I did like the trial lesson as it was a good mixture between basics for everyday situations combined with structure and a very personal approach.

I’m very happy with my lessons thus far.

My teacher is very good at managing the structure of the lessons to suit me. I can be an awkward student, and she is very flexible to match my requirements. She has also offered to move lessons to any time/place that suits me, which I thought was a very kind gesture.

Progress is slow, but this is more to with the fact I don’t practise or do my homework rather than any fault of the teacher’s.

I intend to continue for the forseeable future.

The first lesson hold last Saturday was very fine.
My teacher has a good  way of explaining the things that completely stick to my expectations for the moment, (even if it was just a first lesson with very basic things… but this is what I need). Very oriented to day to day speaking, with small tricks to catch Turkish specificity, and being able once needed to answer to my questions ( as I have many ) in French.

As I told you over the phone, Hulya is very nice, an active listener,
very adaptable and quite pushy at the same time. Perfect - for me ! ;-)

I am quite happy with the lessons
Our aim is to have 4 lessons a week ... in one of them, we try to focus on grammar
And the second one is more focussed on speaking.

The used materials are good ... I get good exercices
I am happy about the content and methtodology applied during the lessons
So I don’t have any real suggestion for the moment

Everything ok I would say,

Thank you for your email. Ufuk has a great grasp on the language and is a good teacher. Unfortunately, owing to the limited amount of time i have, it is hard for me to keep up with the information given per lesson. However, he has extended great help. In terms of method he mentioned I am supposed to be primarily directing the lessons based on need. We have attempted to do that together through focusing on my primary requirements during my stay.

Hopefully in the coming weeks I can provide more feedback in terms of suggestions for further improvement.

Hi Cagatay

Thanks for your email.  The lessons are going very well - Ufuk is a very good teacher.  I am enjoying the one-to-one classes as I can tailor them to my own needs - at the lesson this week we did some cooking vocab as well as grammar.  The books are good as well as the additional resources.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I am really very satisfied with the recent lessons that I took with my teacher.
He is very good in the teaching dynamic and quickly adapt to the pupil needs.
I even have the impression that I am progressing! So my intention is of course to continue this way.
Best regards,
Eric Hermann

hi Cagatay,

Bence, Hülya iyi bir Ögretmen.
As I told you, I really like a teaching style where we make a lot of
repetition (so the words and rules stick to my mind) and where somebody
explains me how it is and also writes it down on paper so I can see it.

This is exactly how Hülya teaches. So I like her style very much.
I noticed she prepares quite some exercises to do during the lessons or to
give me as Ödev, so also from that point, I think she's doing a very good
job. After 5 courses, I want to learn more and more, and I try to listen to
my colleagues when they say some phrases I've learnt with Hülya. The ödev
she gives me are quite some nice exercises as well, so I like doing them.
She is very good in repeating the most important things at the beginning of
every class, which makes me notice that I still make mistakes in some
obvious things. When making the exercises I sometimes think I already know
quite some, but in the repetitions I notice that I am not as good as I
thought ;-).
